Question by Thomas V: How would auto insurance company know if I am unemployed? I noticed someone posted that their auto insurance rates went up since they are unemployed. I have been unemployed since February and my rates stayed the same. I don’t tell the insurance company that I lost my job. How will the insurance company know if I am working or not?

What would happen in this situation with regard to the sale of a property, insurance, etc?

Suppose a person purchases a house and because they do not have proper credit, they have a guarantor for the mortgage. Soon after purchase, the house is severely damaged by a fire. It is put up for sale at a drastically reduced price – maybe 50% of what the buyers paid for it.

What would likely happen in this situation. Who would receive the insurance money? The guarantor or the other person? And who would receive the proceeds from the sale of the house?

Health Insurance: Why would an indemnity plan cost $27 less than a PPO?

I’m comparing 2 health insurance plans. Plan “P” is a PPO that costs $27 a month more than plan “I”, an indemnity plan. Both are HSA-eligible. Plan I has a $2500 deductible while plan P has a $2700 deductible. Both have $3 million caps. Both plans appear the same in every respect, except that you can’t get your Rx drugs mail order in Plan I.

Other than the one Rx drug benefit, it appears plan I is better than plan B. So I can’t figure
